Lim Kian Leong &Co. was founded in 1985 by Lim Kian Leong, who had previously practiced in a major Kuala Lumpur legal firm. Today, the firm has expanded into a team of highly qualified lawyers (including four partners), all supported by a professional secretarial and paralegal team of approximately twenty-five. Due to the company's intimate setting, Lim Kian Leong & Co. is in the unique position of being able to provide clients with exceptionally astute solutions to their legal problems.

Unlike many other legal firms in order to achieve the standards to which we aspire, we have taken the bold step to reduce our areas of practice so that we can develop a high level of service in the most difficult and challenging areas. We are thus now highly focused on Dispute Resolution and Corporate Advisory work, areas which often go hand in hand.

In recent years, Lim Kian Leong & Co. has been engaged in several high profile commercial and corporate litigation matters leading to the implementation of some of the most complex litigation and settlement procedures ever seen in Malaysia.

We have also been involved in constitutional references and have filed shareholders' protection action under the recently enacted provisions of the Companies Act, 1965. We are constantly at the forefront of legal development in Malaysia.

A search on the Lexis Nexis and CLJ case reports show that over 100 legal suits involving Lim Kian Leong & Co. have been reported in those Law Reports.
