     1. On Saturday 22nd of May 2010, employees of the firm took part in a fun fair at Aman Suria organized by the Kechara Buddhist Association. The fair was a lively event with stalls selling food, clothes, books, plants, trinkets, jumble sale and games to raise funds with all proceeds going toward the construction efforts of a spiritual well being centre in Genting Highlands. This centre, built with private funds, will be used to house an old folks home, animal welfare shelter and places for contemplation, meditation and artistic expression. Nestled among cool, green rainforests it will be a place for the meeting of minds and souls.

     2. We also took the opportunity to purchase from the fair essential items like food, cooking oil, household items etc which was then donated to a home for the disabled called Taman Megah Handicapped and Disabled Childrens’ Home. This is a privately funded home for over 300 special needs children that require medical aid, physical therapy, food and shelter. The home is entirely run on volunteer help and private donations.

     3. Mr Kong is a tractor driver in Ipoh facing dire financial straits not because he’s being irresponsible with his money. The fact is he has to work a 7 day week which includes overtime to pay for his wife’s hefty medical expenses plus he has to take care of his 4 children as well.

Being the sole bread winner in his family is taking a toll on him both mentally and physically which prompted him to seek help from the public through the Perak MCA Public Services and Complaints Bureau recently. We read of his plight in the newspapers and decided to help ease his financial pressures by donating RM300.00.

     4. Many Associations in our country which serve as vital centers for medical, physical and rehabilitation needs for the poor and infirmed are very often managed without government funding. One such association is the National Stroke Association of Malaysia – NASAM. Recently our firm helped to raise RM15,500.00 for their rehabilitation center by selling tickets to their annual Fun Fair at Jaya 33 in Petaling Jaya.

     5. Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disorder that affects the central nervous system of the body. It results in serious damage through the growth of tumors which compresses on nerves and surrounding tissue. Yvonne Foong Ming Niang suffers from this disease but has a chance to lead a relatively normal life through surgery in the US. Our firm helped in her medical expenses by donating RM1000.00. At the time of writing Yvonne has just undergone surgery in the US and we wish her a safe and speedy recovery.

     6. On June 26th 2011, our firm operated a stall at the NASAM – National Stroke Association of Malaysia – charity fun fair event. This is an annual charity event that we participate in and this year we did a Jumble sale of clothes, books, household items, toiletries and gifts. All in all we generated over RM3500.00 worth of sales at our stall and helped NASAM collect over RM20,000.00 in funds for their various rehabilitation programs.

     7. We also participated in another charity fund raising event at the Shangri-La hotel on September 3rd 2011 by donating RM6000.00. Funds collected at this event went in aid of the Nanyang Dialysis Centre and selected homes for the needy.

     8. Throughout the year the firm has made various charity contributions to those in need:

  • RM600.00 to 3 young people in need of artificial limbs
  • RM2000.00 to Woo Yit Mei's medical bills
